The Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremonies will be located at the
Neches Federal Credit Union Arena at the Montagne Center (see campus map).
All students need to arrive no later than 1 hour before start time of ceremony

Students will need to park on the northwest of the Montagne Center in lot A5. (map)
The ceremony will start promptly. If you arrive late, please still come to the Montagne Center for check-in.
Ordering Regalia

The deadline to order your regalia through the website is April 12, 2026. The deadline to order fine quality doctoral regalia is March 8, 2026.
Reminders
- LU will provide a digital commencement program for guests. A link will be shared via email the Monday before the ceremonies, as well as at all entrances when you arrive. Graduates will receive a printed program in their graduation packet.
- Tickets are not required for guests.
- Once the Commencement ceremony begins, graduates must remain on the ceremony floor until its conclusion.
- All attendees are discouraged from congregating in groups outside the arena before or after the ceremony.
- Cell phones must be put on silent and put away during the ceremony.
*Please arrive on time to your commencement ceremony to ensure there is enough time to make it to your assigned seat. If you arrive late, you will be placed at the end of the line and you will not walk in your assigned order. Five minutes prior to the start of the ceremony, graduates will be held in the tunnel for the processional of the commencement stage party and after which the held students will be allowed to find their assigned seats, but any other late arrivals will be placed after the last scheduled graduate.
Accessibility & Accommodations
In order to ensure your visit is a great experience for both you and your family, we want to remind you we offer many accommodations and support services to make your visit accessible. Examples of services we provide are:
- an ASL sign language interpreter
- closed captioning
- seating and parking options
Student accommodation requests will be accepted no later than 48 hours prior to your event to give us the best opportunity to provide your accommodation.

Diplomas
Once all degree requirements and grades are posted, degrees will be awarded Friday, May 22, 2026* by the end of the day. Awarding date for students who have finished their last class on February 22, March 17, or March 29, you will be notified by your graduation coordinator when you degree has been awarded. Please check your Lamar email for more information about diploma retrieval from your graduation coordinator. Please remember:
- You must have a zero balance with the university by April 6, 2026.
- All classes must be complete and final grades must be posted.
Transcripts being sent from other institutions to fulfill transfer hours, must be received within 4 weeks after the Commencement Ceremony.
Transcripts
Your transcript will be available Saturday, May 23, 2026. Your degree will not post to your permanent record until end of day Friday, May 22, 2026*.
*Degrees for students that have a last class date of February 22, March 17, or March 29 will post according to schedules provided by your graduation coordinator. Please check your Lamar email for more information about your conferral date and transcript.
